Solid-liquid interfaces are quite literally the interfaces between solids and liquids. In the context of soft matter, this comes up between a colloidal crystal and it's melt. Compared to solid-vapor interfaces, less is currently understood about the molecular details of solid-liquid interfaces. A great discussion about progress in this field can be found in a themed article by Asta, Spaepen, and van der Veen in Solid-liquid interfaces: molecular structure, thermodynamics and crystallization.
