Definition
Microfluidic devices are able to precisely manipulate sub-nanoliter volumes of fluids with temporal accuracy of milliseconds. [1] Some of the advantages of microfluidic devices include the reduction in the amount of fluids used and thereby reduction in manufacturing costs and faster device construction time.
