Image Charge Effects on the Formation of Pickering Emulsions

Hongzhi Wang, Virendra Singh, and Sven Holger Behrens investigate an electrostatic barrier that prevents a charged colloid from adsorbing to an oil-water interface, when approaching from the water side. Hamaker theory is explicitly used to calculate the magnitude of this barrier (see the letter's online supplementary material).
